As Poland was invaded and annihilated, the 'château' of Villard-de-Lans  was to accommodate from 1940 to 1946 some eight hundred Polish pupils and teachers. An exceptional high school, a centre of freedom and humanism, a place of moral, cultural and militant resistance. A subject created with Stéphane Malbos, thanks to the archives of the Polish High School Memory Association.
